Weed Alert: Burning Bush

Burning Bush has unmistakable, vibrant magenta leaves in the fall.

Late October and November are a great time to identify and control invasive burning bush (Euonymus alatus) because it is easy to spot due to its bright magenta leaves. Because most native plants have already dropped their leaves, there is less likelihood of accidentally affecting non-target, native plants during treatment.

Burning Bush fruits are bright red with deep purple capsules.
